  • Measuring the width of the blinds

You need them to establish the narrowest width of the blinds. It is the width you are going to use if you are mounting your curtains from the inside. Remember, if you go with shades that fit at the top or the bottom; you will have a problem installing them. 

  • Go shopping

Now that you got your measurements, it is time to go shopping. Of course, you will need replacements that will last longer. Wood or faux wood blinds can give you that assurance. Vinyl blinds are cheap, but they do not last long.
