What is the first step of a home remodel?

An initial consultation to walk the home, define goals, scope, timeline and budget, followed by measuring and drawing existing conditions.

Should I hire an interior designer or a contractor first for a remodel?

Hire the designer first. A complete design and specification lets contractors bid the same scope, which gives you accurate, comparable pricing.

Can I live in my home during a renovation?

Often, yes, with phasing. Kitchen and whole-home remodels usually need a short move-out, and we plan the schedule so that window is as small as possible.

Do you handle permits?

We prepare the drawings and specifications needed for permits and coordinate with your licensed contractor, who pulls and manages the permit.
