Luxury interior design in Arcadia, Phoenix AZ: custom walnut and stone kitchen by PHX Interior Design

Selected work

One designer, from first sketch to final piece.

Arcadia homes are loved for their trees, their proportions and their history. We work with that character rather than against it, planning interiors that feel settled in the neighborhood from the day the project wraps.

You work directly with Alex Aguirre, who manages the drawings, the trades and every order, so decisions stay simple and nothing is lost between teams.

Lighting

Light that suits the street.

Arcadia rooms are filled with filtered daylight from mature trees. We design fixtures and layers that work with it, so evenings feel as warm as afternoons.

Detail

Small rooms, considered fully.

A powder room is where a house shows its confidence. We pair a single dramatic slab with quiet millwork and warm light, so the room feels intentional rather than decorated.

Arcadia

1-on-1 Partner Project Management for Arcadia's Neighborhoods and Historic Streets

Arcadia mixes 1950s ranches, Spanish and Mediterranean revivals and new architect-designed homes on streets shaded by citrus. Phoenix Interior Design (PHX ID) works directly with you on interior architecture, renovations and procurement, with one designer managing the plans, the trades and the orders from the first walk-through to installation.

The Historic Core Beneath Camelback

Large lots, mature trees and architecture that rewards a careful hand.

  • Arcadia Proper

The original, most storied part of the neighborhood. We preserve the character of midcentury and revival homes while reworking kitchens, baths and living areas for today.

  • Camelback Heights

Homes that sit closest to the mountain and look straight at it. Interiors planned to protect those views with discreet shading and clean sight lines.

  • Marion Estates

A small enclave known for architecturally important homes. Renovations that honor the original design while quietly upgrading comfort and systems.

  • Biltmore and Adjacent Pockets

Not Arcadia by name, but close by in spirit, with mature landscaping and Camelback proximity. Interiors tuned to long-established homes.

Walkable and Everyday Arcadia

Neighborhoods close to restaurants, parks and schools, where homes are renovated and rebuilt at a steady pace.

  • Arcadia Lite

A denser, walkable stretch near the neighborhood restaurants. Remodels that make smaller floor plans feel open, bright and well organized.

  • Lower Arcadia (Arcadia Osborn)

South of the canal, with plenty of renovation activity. Whole-home updates that bring older houses in line with new construction nearby.

  • Scottsdale Arcadia

The eastern side that falls within Scottsdale. The same lifestyle and the same level of design, with a different set of city services to coordinate.

Do you design homes in all parts of Arcadia?
Yes. We work across Arcadia Proper, Arcadia Lite, Lower Arcadia, Scottsdale Arcadia, Camelback Heights and Marion Estates, as well as nearby Biltmore.
Can you remodel a midcentury Arcadia home without losing its character?
Yes. We start by identifying what makes the architecture special, preserve it, and then update layout, lighting and finishes around it.

We do. We join at the plan stage, prepare drawings and specifications, and manage selections against the build schedule.
Who will I work with?
Principal designer Alex Aguirre is your single point of contact throughout the project.
